 A fine range of typical Merlot aromas here, from cherry and blueberry to fruitcake and herbal notes. The palate is soft but still structured, with cherry and chocolate flavours to the fore.

The grapes come from vines aged between five and fifteen years.

Deakin Estate’s vineyards are located in the Big Rivers region, where the mighty rivers weave across the land, bringing life to the region and to our vines. Rich, fertile soils, and a warm, sunny climate also create a perfect environment for growing quality fruit to make these delicious wines.

Located near Mildura in the northwestern part of Victoria in Australia, Deakin Estate is a family-owned wine estate that makes terroir-rich wines. The vineyards of this estate are blessed with the abundant flow of the Murray River that defines the geological and climatic conditions.

Deakin Estate’s approach to environmental management  is to  manage risks while respecting our environment, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring robust branding of our wines. 

We take our responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint seriously and ensure every step of our supply chain is part of this reduction.

Our aim is to achieve the very best quality fruit from the vineyards whilst sustaining their precious environment. We adopt sustainable production methods, ensuring that we support other plant species and organisms with whom we share our space.

We proudly use the light and energy efficient ‘Lean+Green®’ bottles for our Deakin Estate and DeakinArtisans Blend still wines. The process used to make these bottles takes out considerable weight, energy and water consumption from each bottle while maintaining premium branding.
