Vegan Wine Mixed Case

Vegan Wine Mixed Case

A mixed case of six great different mixed vegan wines normal price £64.61

Great vegan wines in a mixed case of 6. Ideal as a present at any time. Vegan wines for Christmas, birthdays or just a celebration.

Our mixed cases, and bundles of wine are selected from our range of vegan wines. They represent great value, and we attempt to give you diversity as well as a vegan choice guaranteed by ourselves. You do not have to struggle to see whether a wine is vegan or not by looking at the minute print on the rear of the label. All that is doe for you and we check every item with the vineyards website to make sure that the wine is produced in the correct manner.

Do not therefore believe that all wines are vegan. They are not. The type of products often used in winemaking are shown below. Wines utilising any of these items can definitely not be classified as vegan wines.

Animal Products Sometimes Used in Winemaking:
Isinglass (from fish bladders)
Gelatin (from boiled cow or pig body parts)
Albumin (egg whites)
Casein (animal milk protein)

Fortunately, many winemakers use either vegan fining ingredients, or they skip the fining practice entirely by giving the wine some time to settle before decanting it into bottles.
Annoyingly, winemakers do not disclose fining ingredients on the label. But luckily, you can use the Internet to look up the status of most of the top brands. We are labelling the wines on our site which are vegan, however this is an on-going process. If in doubt about a Vegan Wine, you can always email the vineyard and ask. Producers often change their processes without giving the market any notice.

Torres Santa Digna Merlot

Torres Santa Digna Merlot

Torres Santa Digna Merlot

Santa Digna was the name of the wayside crosses at a property in Spain. These crosses were used to mark boundaries, symbolizing good luck and protection for those setting out for remote lands. They were also used to name Miguel Torres first property in Chile and the first wine produced from this land. Santa Digna Merlot was obtained after several years of experimentation in plantations with different climates. Aged for six months in American oak casks until bottling with no type of filtration.

Pablo y Walter Malbec

Pablo y Walter Malbec

Pablo y Walter Malbec

A celebration of Mendoza – the colour, culture and flavour and a celebration of friendship.Visit Mendoza in Argentina and you can’t help but be struck by the vibrant street life of this exciting city. We wanted to create a lable to reflect the vibrancy and life Mendoza oozes, and so Pablo Y Walter was created. It’s the lovechild of Argentinean winemaker Walter Bressia and Boutinot winemaker Guillaume Letang. We’ve been working with Walter for many years (the Pablo refering to our original owner, Paul Boutinot) and this Malbec is the perfect way to celebrate their long friendship.

PRODUCTION
Produced from 25 year old vines in the Agrelo district of Mendoza, close to Walter’s bodega in the rain-shadow of the Cordon del Plata. The unwooded Malbec vinified in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and brightness of the fruit. Walter bought three spankingly new 25000-litre steel tanks specifically for this project and subsequently somehow crow-barred them into his small family bodega.
TASTING NOTE
A really pure expression of Malbec, deep red almost purple in colour and wonderfully aromatic with lifted violet, red currant and cassis notes. Muy, muy fantasticó – richly bloody, vibrant, Latin and velveteen.

Torres Andica Sauvignon Blanc

Torres Andica Sauvignon Blanc

Torres Andica Sauvignon Blanc

Here the delicate color of the Sauvignon appears, pale yellow notes, delicate and subtle, with greenish notes. Tropical fruits appear on the nose, citrus fruits such as grapefruit, and at the end very subtle herbaceous notes, the mouth is sweet, intense, with a fresh and interesting acidity, which leaves a very balanced finish, perfect to enjoy at any time..

Miguel Torres Ándica is made under the vision of honoring the natural expression and biodiversity of the country that welcomed us 40 years ago. This certified 100% organic wine is made with the utmost respect for the Chilean ecosystems where we grow our grapes, from the north to Patagonia, with a sustainable approach to agriculture and aware of climate change

The 2020-2021 vintage began with a calm winter, temperatures somewhat higher than the previous vintage. In spring, frosts appear in the month of October that lowered the yields in some varieties of vineyards in the foothills of the Andes mountain range in the Curico and Maule valley. The summer was cool with around 1.5 to 2 ° C lower than normal and at the end of January there were rains that kept us alert to avoid fungi such as botrytis.
The 2021 vintage is considered cold, achieving a slow maturity with good acidity, moderate alcohols. A vintage where the most benefited grapes were those of the coastal dry land

Pressing: Destemming, maceration 3 hours at low temperature
Type of fermentation: Alcoholic
Length of fermentation: 16 days
Fermentation temperature: 12ºC – 16ºC

Bottling date: July 2021
Aging: No wooden casks
Properly stored, the wine will hold its potential for the next:
5 to 7 years

El Infiernillo Pinot Noir

El Infiernillo Pinot Noir

El Infiernillo Pinot Noir

Vibrant raspberry and red cherry fruit lifts effortlessly out of the glass. The palate is rich yet delicate, with a supple finish. This is a wine which has plenty of hand crafted charm.

The Infiernillo vineyard sits in a sleepy corner of Maule, nestled up to the Andes Mountains. Loosely translated to ‘little hell’, Infiernillo gets its name from the Descabazado volcano which sits in the mountain range above. It’s a 60+ year old, 8 hectare Pinot Noir block which produces fantastic grapes and in this single vineyard wine, the wine makers aim is to capture the exuberance and freshness fostered in this ‘little hell’ site.

Coming from a single block of fruit planted back in 2000, the Pinot Noir grapes benefit from alluvial soils, a long ripening season and optimum diurnal temperature variation. In 2015, winemaker Eric Monnin sent 20 French oak barrels to Chile – half new oak and half second fill. These were used to age the wine, adding complexity and finesse. Barrels are then blended to create a wine with weight and complexity but still shot through with fruit. The result is clean, ripe fruit perfect for this modern Pinot.

This Casablanca grown Pinot Noir has bright wild strawberry aromatics, which follow through on a palate of cranberry, a touch of creme fraiche which finishes refreshingly crunchy and tart.

Bodegas Manzanos gives its name to the group of wineries that best represent the identity of the family Fernández de Manzanos. There are three wineries: Azagra and Haro in appellation Rioja and Campanas in appellation Navarra. In these wineries, the young team of the fifth generation of the family elaborate the quality wines that are acclaimed worldwide. Its quality is determined by its origin: their own vineyards.

Their vast area of vineyards in different locations of the appellations give them the power of playing with terroir nuances. In their wineries the exquisite elaboration process is demonstrated. In Rioja they own the emblematic and oldest winery of the appellation in Haro and their contemporary winery in Azagra, both using gravity as the principle of architecture for elaboration. Campanas is also the oldest winery in appellation Navarra. Eight years of sustained growth support these young people who win the respect and reputation of their wines day after day.

Protected by the appellation Rioja, Bodegas Manzanos owns 250 hectares in D. O. Ca. Rioja and controls 700 hectares more, 50 hectares in D. O. Navarra and controls 525 hectares more.  The company sums up a total of 1.525 hectares.

To ensure a good quality in the grapes, we have made a significant investment to transform the goblet-trained vineyard into trellises. The plantation in trellises is allowing us to obtain vineyards with a good physiological balance that produces grapes of great maturity and high ecological potential.

This system has also allowed us to install drip irrigation in all the vineyards, with which we ensure the water stability of the plants and favor a better quality of the grapes.

The harvest is mechanized throughout the vineyard in trellises, with special grape harvesters that exhaustively select the grape in its optimum state of maturity.

As for the climate, the climatic conditions, with wet and cold winters and dry and hot summers, and rainfall of less than 300 litres per square metre, are optimal for vine health, harmonious maturity and quality viticulture, situated to obtain great wines.
